Next weekend I’m off to West Virginia to take a look at an area I’m potentially moving to.
The DC area is literally hell, I’m pretty stoked to get out.

My family went to DC to visit a sick relative (I had work I could not take off) and they left DC at 2pm... they’re still not home yet (Long Island)

A lot of great driving and pretty mountains possible. Provided it isn’t one of the cities that smell terribly West Virginia is really nice.

WV is a very diverse state, ranging from “pretty much PA / OH” to “Pretty much MD” to “Better get a banjo and start playing aggressively, since the best defense is a good offense”.

I live in West Virginia. It’s beautiful. Make sure you’re close to a store. What I hate the most about our home, 20 minutes to the closest store. And they don’t sell good beer. That store is 20 minutes further away. It is nice to pee off the front porch.
